TEACHERS

Cherie Ebert cyt
My love affair with yoga began after taking my first class in 2000, I knew then yoga would change my life. After participating in several classes and workshops I completed my 200hr teacher certification with Tias Little in Santa Fe, New Mexico, www.prajnayoga.net  Immersing myself in anatomy, asana, sanskrit, meditation, nutrition, and the philosophy and therapeutics of yoga.  With a desire to share my love of yoga and it's benefits I opened The Yoga Room in 2008.  I hope to inspire students to discover the transformative benefits of yoga which will bring joy into your practice both on and off the mat.

My journey into Yoga began in 2002 as the result of a neck injury. My yoga practice soon turned into a way of life. I soon discovered not only the physical benefit of practice, but also the benefit to me in many other aspects of my life. In 2007 I decided that I would like to share my passion through teaching. I have completed level 4 teacher  training  through Yoga Fit, which focuses on Vinyasa  yoga for fitness. I look forward to sharing my practice with all of you in the inviting ambiance that Cherie has created in The Yoga Room. Until then - Namaste

I started doing yoga when I was a baby with my mom.  Now my class mates say I am the healthiest person in the class!  I help teach kids yoga, come and join us, 5-12 year olds to breath in some fresh air and light powered by the sun! (we have solar panels!)   Cherie's daughter, 11 years old.   =~

Having practiced yoga for about ten years I decided I wanted to share the confidence, compassion and health I had gained through my practice by teaching. I was certified in 2010 in Power Vinyasa through Corepower Yoga in Denver. Through teaching I have realized the joy and benefits of sharing yoga with others. I believe that practicing and teaching yoga is a journey of continual growth and change, one of my favorite quotes about yoga being "yoga is a practice, not perfection". Yoga brings mind, body and spirit into awareness and through it I hope to help build confidence, compassion and strength in each of my students as well as my Self.

"Yoga teaches us to cure what need not be endured and endure what cannot be cured."
