My yoga journey began in 2001.   After taking my first class I realized yoga was going to change my life. Since then I have been influenced by many teachers and have attended numerous workshops to deepen my own practice.  I completed my teacher training with Tias Little in Santa Fe, New Mexico www.prajnayoga.net , immersing myself in asana practice, anatomy, nutrition, meditation, Sanskrit, and Eastern philosophy.

I aim to help students deepen their yoga practice through the integration of breath and movement, awaking an awareness of the core energy in the body and guiding students to tap into their own strengths and potentials.  I enjoy blending the precise alignment of the Iyengar school with the fluid grace of Vinyasa yoga.  I hope to give students the tools they need to bring about a deep sense of peace and connection to their bodies on and off the mat.

When not enjoying yoga on the mat I enjoy my family and all the activities our beautiful mountains have to offer.  I am so grateful to be able to share my love of yoga in this wonderful community.

I first began practicing Yoga in 2002. Originally my intent was relief from the pain caused by a cervical disk problem. What I soon found was an activity that I enjoyed, and that since benefited me in all aspects of my existence. Prior to Yoga I had lost all confidence in my ability to participate in and enjoy most physical activities. Regular practice has not only eliminated the pain, but also restored my confidence in my physical abilities, and has helped me to overcome other life challenges as well. I felt so strongly regarding the positive benefits of Yoga that in 2007 I began teaching in my spare time. My training to date has been through Yoga Fit, which primarily concentrates on Yoga as a path to physical fitness. I am honored to have the opportunity to share my practice with you in the truly enlightening space of The Yoga Room.
